They went to Arvinder for an audition though Manjot had never acted before, even in school plays

After the audition the casting director of Dibakar Banerjee’s Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!selected Manjot Singh

He joined make himself perfect in acting, Manali workshop program for a week and there he has asked to observe the Abhay Deol‘s acting so that he learned acting skills properly.

His acting had been so great that he even received a Filmfare award in 2009 for his work in Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!

Later Manjot participated in a reality show Fear Factor - Khatron Ke Khiladi season 3 in 2010.

In the year 2012, Manjot starred in Udaan, directed by Vikramaditya Motwane

In 2013 Manjot starred in Fukrey directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba
